    Cockroaches are nocturnal and like to squeeze themselves into narrow crevices, so they spend most of their time during the day hiding in their habitats, and are fast enough to move 28 cm per second. In addition, they live in groups and are omnivorous, eating everything from the dead bodies and excrement of their companions to human saliva. In particular, when eating new food, they vomit out the previously eaten half-digested food, causing various infectious diseases such as food poisoning, and are a pest that transmits more than 40 types of harmful pathogens to humans, causing atopy and asthma.

    The widely used existing methods of extermination and eradication of pests such as cockroaches include induced capture, spraying, fumigation, and baiting. However, 1) it acts as a secondary source of indoor air pollution due to the floating phenomenon of decomposing substances of pest carcasses, and 2) toxic hazardous substances used as attractants for poisoning methods are not considered desirable because they have harmful effects on the human body.
